On the heels of a successful release of its Video Workflow Automation Platform, iStreamPlanet continues the momentum by announcing the addition of complete support for the end-to-end Internet Broadcast Workflow with Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5 and HTTP Dynamic Streaming

LAS VEGAS, May 11, 2010 -- iStreamPlanet, a provider of digital media strategy, services and software applications, announced today that it supports Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5 software and plans to fully integrate, HTTP Dynamic Streaming, a new protocol support for media delivery on the Adobe® Flash® Platform. Now, customers using iStreamPlanet’s Video Workflow Automation Platform can automatically schedule, provision, encode and publish content one time, and deliver to connected devices which support Dynamic Streaming and/or HTTP Dynamic Streaming.

"With the recent release of our Video Workflow Automation Platform which we’ve developed, and which was recently used for several very successful high profile live web broadcasts, we continue to innovate and add support for platforms our customers are asking for," said Randy Levine, SVP of Digital Partnerships at iStreamPlanet. "With the latest release of Adobe Flash Media Server 3.5, the upcoming HTTP Dynamic Streaming release and now the integration with our Video Workflow Automation Platform, we enable our customers to scale rapidly and reliably deliver their content in the highest quality using Adobe Flash Media Server or HTTP Dynamic Streaming."

HTTP Dynamic Streaming is a new delivery method for the Adobe Flash Platform enabling on-demand and live adaptive bit-rate streaming of standards-based MP4 media over regular HTTP connections to Adobe Flash Player and Adobe AIR® applications. The adaptive bit-rate capabilities of HTTP Dynamic Streaming will automatically switch between multiple streams at varying bit-rates to provide consistent, uninterrupted viewing experiences up to HD quality even under dramatically changing network connectivity and playback conditions.

"As one of the recognized leaders in live streaming, iStreamPlanet continues to innovate and produce some of the finest live content on the Web and multiple devices," said Scott Wellwood, director of business development for Dynamic Media at Adobe . "iStreamPlanet customers will now be able to harness the incredible power of the Adobe Flash Platform and effectively create live events using Dynamic Streaming and HTTP Dynamic Streaming with its integration into its Video Workflow Automation Platform."
